Crawford's Chance Farm sits on twenty-five peaceful acres overlooking Middle Quarter Cove,
just off the Corsica River in Centreville, Maryland. Originally part of a 1600 acre
Plantation known as Pioneer Point, the historic masonry barn housed prize Guernseys in the 1920s.
Pioneer Point was a marvelous plantation established by the Raskob family as a center for
agricultural research and development. The Raskobs were also financiers of the Empire State
Building and many structures (including our wonderful barn!) were constructed with the same
materials as the Empire State Building. Converted to a horse barn in the 1970's, our barn's
purpose is now to cater to every desire of our equine friends.
